She a Business Law graduate and an experienced Business Lawyer. She has undergone qualifying professional training before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI). She is a trained professional in Artificial Intelligence, Financial Technology, and LegalTech (Japan), Computer science and Artificial Intelligence for Lawyers (Harvard University – USA), and The Fintech Revolution (The University of Pennsylvania – Wharton, USA). 

Danielle specialises in OHADA Corporate law, Financial Technology (FinTech) law, and digitalization of financial services, with a focus on legal advice and regulatory compliance on payments services and marketplace lending, artificial intelligence applied to financial services, data protection, cryptocurrency, Blockchain, and other distributed ledger technologies in financial businesses. 

She has acted as lead counsel in a wide range of corporate and commercial briefs in the leading law firms she worked with within Cameroon, Nigeria, and South Africa.

She advises local and foreign clients in mergers and acquisitions briefs and groundbreaking FinTech transactions in Central Africa, including Banks, renowned Fintech companies, and start-ups providing solutions that are transforming payments in Africa and the rest of the world. She is involved in setting up the best business model for their financial services in the Central African economic zone (CEMAC) and represents them before supervisory authorities. 

She has a profound knowledge of the industry and advises investors, institutional and corporate clients about their projects within the OHADA zone. 

She is a leading lawyer ranked by the most renowned International Legal Directories as The Legal500, Who’s Who Legal (FinTech), and Chambers and Partners. In 2021 she was the only Fintech lawyer in the Who’s Who Legal Rankings for Central Africa and the only woman in the Chambers and Partners Business Lawyers Rankings for Cameroon. 

She acts as a key speaker in major Technology events in Africa, Europe, Asia, and America. She has worked on several technology law projects in Africa, and regularly contributes to legal journals, and has co-authored several articles, including A law for fintech companies within the CEMAC zone: the right innovation at the right time, published by the Internal Bar Association and Lex Africa in 2019, and on the OHADA official website, and the Cameroon Data Protection Overview, published by One Trust Data Guidance. 

She is an approved and registered World Bank Consultant and a lecturer at the University of Abomey-Calavi in the Benin Republic.
