WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM AFRICA 2017
From the 03 – 05 May 2017, was held in Durban, South Africa, the World Economic Forum on Africa on the theme “Achieving Inclusive Growth through Responsive and Responsible Leadership”. This meeting was preceded by a Solutions Summit from 30 – 03 May 2017 on the theme “Scaling What Works” with focus on scaling your concept and not your organization. The summit was met with a strong representation from civil society, including more than 200 Social Entrepreneurs, Global Shapers and Young Global Leaders taking part in the Solutions Summit ahead of the meeting and representatives from world-renowned international organizations and institutions.

The Solutions Summit was immediately followed by the World Economic Forum on Africa. This largest Economic gathering in Africa brought together over 1000 leaders from over 100 countries and representing business, government, civil society, academia and the media with a record participation of more than 12 Heads of state. The meeting centred on three major pillars: Framing Regional Priorities in the Global Context, Navigating the New Socio-Economic Reality; and Driving Inclusivity. It is on this third pillar “Driving Inclusivity” that we were invited as a speaker on fresh perspective for building trust through sustainable institution on the theme “Building Trust Through Sustainable Institutions”.
