From the 2nd-4th August 2019, was held in Minneapolis-St. Paul, USA, the 42nd Climate Reality Leadership Corps Training hosted by former US Vice President AI Gore, founder and chairman of the Climate Reality Project.
This training which saw the presence of 1200 diverse participants from all walks of life aimed at equipping the participants with tools to stop the climate crisis and create a more just and equitable world for us all.
Throughout the training, participants learned about the reality of climate crisis through sessions such as: The climate crisis and its solutions, back to the land: Climate and Agriculture, from policy potential to political reality, covering the climate crisis, towards an inclusive and just transition and truth in 10 minutes.
Participants were also privileged to have specialized skills and solutions sessions from veteran Climate Reality Leaders from around the world on the following: Green New Deal: What it is and how it is being built, project drawdown, community-based energy solutions, environmental Justice: healthy communities, health climate, mastering presentations, demanding action through influencing decision makers, sustainability through shaping impact, getting 100% committed through campaign tools for clean energy and social media for climate action.
